Basket Babies

Etsy shop, basket makeovers
Time for the basket babies to leave the nest and fly off to Etsy.

Each received adornments ranging from ruffles to stamping to tags to vintage linens.

This wood basket with a twig handle has a distressed calico ruffle and a set of nest tags.

It has been painted white and stamped with script and nest images.

These tags have calico ties with a bit of lace.

.
Wrapped in stained calico secured with a rusty pin.

Ready to fly away.

Then I made more nest tags with pink French seam binding ribbon ties.

I hand-colored the nests.

Added a lace trim.

Stamped some birds across the backs, but left most of the space for writing.

Sifted through the pile of vintage linens to find ones to go in the baskets.

I chose two crochet doilies for this basket.

One here.

 And one here.

A small berry basket painted pink with a heavily overdyed pink calico ruffle.

A set of the tags with the two crochet pieces.

 Ready to fly away.

Use as supplies or just to sit and look pretty.

Remember Pearl, Pearl, the Prairie Girl?

A set of six tags for the next basket.

PLUS one crochet doily.

PLUS a linen doily edged with crochet.

PLUS this piece of crochet.

The basket has been painted white with a calico ruffle and a fabric flower.

Ready to fly away.

Take one white and pink crochet.

Add one white, yellow and pink crochet.

Add a third ruffled crochet.

Throw in a set of those pink nest tags.

Ready to fly away.

I will be adding these and a few more of the basket babies to my Etsy shop.

BUT  I saved one basket baby to offer as a swap on Swap & Tell #4 tonight.

Be sure to come over to promote your products.

Read my review of my swap with Diana (Adirondack Girl @ Heart) here.
