Quickies

quick project, making photo tags, Magnolia Ridge Antique and Art GatheringThis is a great project when you are binge watching TV shows.

I sorted through the snapshots I bought in January to pick ones I especially liked.

Scanned them into my computer.

Printed them out nine to a page.

Even if the photos are different sizes, this step will make them all the same size.

Selected odd trims and laces from my stash to attach to the bottoms after cutting each photo out with craft scissors.

Since the photos have a sepia hue, I wanted to cover the punched holes with a brown kraft paper reinforcement.

However I was out of those.

So I took several sheets of the white ones outside and spritzed them with walnut ink.

Left them in the sun to dry.

Yes, they are still sticky after dying.

I do like the look, but I have ordered more brown kraft paper ones for next time.
Sometimes I can be lazy.

Used seam binding, ribbon, rick rack, and twine to make ties for each tag.

Oh, I forgot to tell you this project is about making tags.

Yes, little photo tags to attach to kraft paper shopping bags.

I have completed several dozen bags in two sizes.

WHY?

I have been invited to participate in the annual Magnolia Ridge Antiques & Art Gathering on May 21 in Ridge Spring, South Carolina.

Yes, my junk will be traveling!

If you are within 150 miles, it is worth the trip.

See y'all!

My Etsy shop is on vacation so I can clean up a bit and clear out items lingering too long.

  4. Oh how fun that you'll be participating in the antique and art show! I wish I were closer 'cause I'd definitely go! The only one close to me that I go to is Farm Chicks.

Your tags are adorable. I have all kinds of old pictures and I've never thought to do that with them for some reason! And that reminds me, remember the artist ephemera packs I made for my booth? They've been selling really well! You should give something similar a shot in your space and see what happens :o)
