Crates And Ladders

peach crates, orchard ladders
Beautiful spring day - time to drag out some of the big items from the peach farm estate sale. (READ ABOUT THE SALE HERE!)

The peach crates and the orchard ladders were scrubbed down and left in the sun to dry.

Taking a sun bath.

Relaxing before waxing.

All the dirt came off the ladders without much effort.

The crates had to be scoured with a wire brush.

Chucks volunteered to help by applying the Howard's Feed 'N Wax.

Howard's feeds the dry wood and brings back the color.

Used MinWax clear on the orchard ladders.

Protects the remaining paint and adds luster.

Ready to be loaded!

Crates and ladders can be found at Booth W-10, Riverfront Mall Antique Mall, North Augusta, SC.

Crates - $50

Ladders - $125

Miss Peepers loves project day.

She tends to stick close to home since her unexpected eleven-day vacation to parts unknown.

Don't forget The Gathering at Magnolia Ridge.

See y'all!

  1. The ladders and crates look great, Donna. I'm glad to see that Miss Peepers is doing well and prefers to stick around the house now.

  2. Love aged wood! What is the difference between Howard's Feed 'N Wax and Minwax? I only use Minwax now....

  3. Miss Peppers is right to stick close to home! I hate it when my cats disappear for a day or two.

  4. Oh goodness, why can't you be closer to me? I love those ladders and crates SO MUCH! How do you like Howard's? I have never tried it... I use my own mixture of 1 part olive oil to 1 part vinegar. It has yielded some truly spectacular results. I'm heading to a farm auction this weekend. Wish me luck!

  5. Both the ladders and crates look fab, but I really do love the way the crates look with the wax. Oh Miss Peepers glad you aren't roaming as much.
    hugs,

  6. Glad to hear Miss Peepers is staying home! So much safer for her and less stressful for you. I bet the ladders and crates sell like hotcakes! They are getting harder to find around here, and if you do the prices are sky high!

  8. Love the crates and ladders. The crates look great after Chucks applied the Howards. As for Miss Peepers being gone from home always makes you appreciate it more. sb
