Le Poulet Side Table

distressed painting, side table, The Graphics Fairy image, French chicken
Are you ready for a little French chicken this morning?

Served on a transformed side table.

The table was genuinely the ugliest thing in the thrift shop that day.

The manager was sure that even I would not want it.

It was sooooooo orange.

It was sooooooo scratched.

It was sooooooo calling out for a makeover.

So I bought it.

An extra heavy-duty sanding.

One coat of Bermuda Sand white paint.

Two coats of paint.

A few touch-up areas.

How sweet is this!?!

Not a wiggle in her.

Sturdy!

Nice legs.

I sanded the edges a bit for distressing.

Selected the French chicken image from The Graphics Fairy.

Used the waxed paper transfer method.

Voila!

Le Poulet side table.

An ugly duckling turned into a swan, er, chicken!

What is that metal thingy behind it with a 'roof'? (Hopefully it wasn't something you already posted and I wasn't paying attention that day.)

  14. I liked that the table was narrow. With the white paint, it doesn't look as chunky. Good eye!
