A Little Trunk In My Junk

vintage trunks, shipping trunks Oh, look! I found a little trunk in my junk!

The trunk is about eighteen inches square with a deep tray inside,

Bought at Goodwill recently.

Right when I was taking my money out to pay, the manager came by and told me it was 50% off for next thirty minutes.

The label is still inside along with shipping labels outside.

The shipping labels were for daily trips from Boston.

I wonder what was shipped daily in such a small trunk?

Well, I  can only guess  old L.M.P. carried the secret to his grave.

I love the trunk so much it is a keeper for sure.

Even Chucks said it was a keeper not to be sold.

Now I wish I had thought to buy the three other full-sized trunks while the sale was going on.

I could have had a trunk stack!

I know I have not been joining all the reindeer games in Bloglandia in the last week.

I am still learning this Windows 7.

It does such a great job storing all my pictures, I can never find them to resize and post.

Tonight I was successful after only four #^&*^#@ hours!

I hope I will ...

See y'all!

  1. Very cool find, Donna, worth doing some research to find its original purpose. I had a small trunk that I sold a year ago - it was a child's, just a little bigger than yours.

  2. What a great find - and 50% off - I'm impressed they actually came by to tell you that ( knowing you were buying it anyway )
I'm still having problems with Windows 7 too lmho - a month later -
My kids say I'll love it when I get used to it - I'll have to trust them on this one I guess because I hate it with a passion !
    XOXO

  6. What a great find, and half price!! How awesome! I love imagining the history of things. I have windows 7 and use picasa for all my photos. Not even sure where I'd find them without that.

  7. Love the title, Donna! I know you've been waiting a long time to use that phase. But I think it was meant for one of the Kardashians! Anyway, you scored big time with this purchase . . . praise Chucks! Good luck with your computer. I just got a new one last week that features Windows 8.1. My hubby moved everything over and I'm having a grand old time getting use to it. That's why I've been late in doing everything.

  20. This trunk is AMAZING! I would love one just like it... I know exactly where to put it in my tiny little home too. You def should've bought more! You'll get Windows 7 before too long. I think you'll end up liking it more too (I know I have). Whatever you do - just don't let them switch you to Windows 8 - it is TRULY terrible. Thanks for linking up to TTF!!

I was at Goodwill not to long ago and was really looking at some furniture pieces that I could redo, and they got on the loud speaker and said 25% off furniture today....I almost wonder if they did that on purpose!? haha Wishing you a beautiful weekend!! Enjoy your new treasure! xo Holly

  23. LOVE that trunk. I don't think our Goodwill ever has sales - maybe once in a while on leftover Christmas decor...but not always. I asked, and it was even full price after Christmas this year. I'd keep that adorable trunk, too...Thanks for sharing at Revisionary Life Thrifty Life Thursday!
