Not much shopping - the atmosphere has been glum, but things are picking up.
A pair of Madonna and Child figurines.
Your eyes are not deceiving you - they are slightly different.
Lucky for me there was a sale on baskets at the thrift store.
I need them for displays in the booth.
How and why an African broom was included in the basket sale, I have no idea.
But I bought it.
A needlepoint stocking.
Not signed or dated, but the inside lining is hand stitched.
I was the only one in the thrift store who knew what these were.
They are oil can spouts.
Will probably go on Etsy.
A set of three Homco plaques.
After a thorough cleaning, they are headed to Etsy.
Speaking of Etsy, let me share the three treasures I purchased in the last two weeks.
From Lisa of Crow's Cottage, this tiny crocheted sewing box made to hold thread spools for tatting.
Lisa also included some buttons.
When the top is opened, there is a needle pouch.
Lisa is the team captain of the Vintage Revival Team on Etsy.
Does your Etsy shop sell vintage items?
You may want to come over to visit and join.
It is a very active team.
From Christie of Christie's Curios
I bought a vintage German Putz sheep.
A great addition to my sheep collection!
I fell in love with his vintage photo postcards from Europe.
I ordered four - from Spain.
A lovely package - beautifully wrapped to protect their precious cargo.
I selected four from the many which attracted me.
Beautifully written messages.
Even though this one is not as old as the rest (1956), I love it best!
Thanks, Jack!

ReplyDeleteGreat blog with really fun stuff!
Nice to greeting you again, Donna!
ReplyDeleteI've just strolled about your crazily beautiful blog, and -besides your nice and pretty ideas- I've resulted amazed by your magnificent gesture towards my lots and towards my way of carefully wrapping and shipping them to my clients.
You're, by far, Donna, the sweetest client I've ever had in last 3 decades to date. I really and deeply appreciate your awesome courtesy, and your time devoted to fix your amazing gesture towards my service.
Health to you and yours, and thanks so much again, Donna.

I feel so bad for the people affected by the flooding. So horrible. I will keep them in my throughts and prayers. Do you know how to tat? Joey's cousin does and she makes the most amazing things! I don't know that I would have the patience for it...maybe some day!
