Not all of today's finds were bought - some I snatched away from Horror Monster's outdoor living section.
Okay, I did buy this group of primitive plant stands from another dealer who had been using them as shelves hanging in her booth.
I think they will be the perfect solution for covering the black hole of the fireplace for the summer.
I will let you know if it works.
Found these two birdcages.
I dumped all the perches and toys to clean them.
Off to the booth where I hope they will grace a garden.
I will admit to a certain softness in my heart for Italian tole metal flowers - these attached to a wrought iron candle holder.
Needs a little work.
Two more heavy duty wrought iron candle pieces.
I suspect they came from the same house as the tole one.
This just screams Americana!
The splatter ware crock, the red/white tin lithograph pedestal bowl, the tiny wire-baled canning jars.
Who could pass up turquoise pom poms?
Two nice storage jars.
I found just under two yards of this printed linen.
Hoping it will be enough for a chair I have.
I usually stick to green, white or black shutters, but wooden shutters are getting too hard to find to be picky about color.
From Horror Monster comes this group of yawning toolboxes and two plastic Coke crates.
After lining them up for a group photo, I was a bit sad to be getting rid of part of my toolbox collection, but I have
Some of these are really tackle boxes.
All went off to the booth.
Buy them quickly so I will not bring them back home!
The rusty saw blades once hung on my back fence with pots of annuals wired to them.
A little sanding and a bit of washing ...
A torn cotton ribbon just because ...
And they were off to the booth.
The pink plaid is destined for a bench.
Love the large brass rose bowl though it needs extensive cleaning.
I am off to clean more junk, er, treasures from Horror Monster's outdoor living section.
I need to finish a few paint projects.
It is a never-ending list.
See y'all!

Lots of awesomeness this week! My favorite s this week are the turquoise pom pom fringe and the red and white pedestal bowl. It's very unique! The plant stands will look great in front of the fireplace. Are you going to cut them to different heights? That linen fabric is so pretty and will look great on a chair. Happy Friday!
ReplyDeleteWherever it is that you get your boundless energy, I need you to point me in that direction!
ReplyDeleteThose saw blades are really cool. I bet they go quick and hopefully from a paying customer and not back into your car :-)

Horror Monsters Outdoor Living Section! Too funny! I love that pink plaid and of course the turquoise pom poms are absolutely beachy!
ReplyDeleteYou just have a way of taking something I never imagined using for home decor and making it look chic and fabulous (ie: sawblades)! Can't wait to see what else you're working on.
ReplyDeleteOh Donna, I know what you mean about bringing things back home. Sometimes I just have trouble getting them out the door at home. I am truly a hoarder at heart. Have a great weekend. sb
ReplyDeleteLots of goodies but the tool boxes are my fav. I have a weakness for them too.
ReplyDeleteI sure wished that I lived closer because I would be buying some of those tool boxes!! :-)
ReplyDeleteOoh! I NEVER pass up pom-poms! Love all of your finds! I'm itching to go junking this weekend!

Love the birdcages! You always find such great things!
ReplyDeleteI think I missed the post that explained who Horror Monster is...nonetheless, nice junk as always!
ReplyDeleteWhere do I sign up to visit Horror Monster? With a big truck? While your back is turned for, say, a couple of hours? What a trove you have. Those tool/tackle boxes won't hang around long. I cannot keep them in stock.
ReplyDeleteI would never pass up turquoise pom poms or any other turquoise sewing notion. Such pretty linen fabric!
ReplyDeleteEverything is so great but those saw blades are fabulous! Trying to figure out what I would do with them but I want their rustiness!
ReplyDeleteI have a thing for old toolboxes too! They make great storage and look really cool.
ReplyDeleteGreat finds as always, and yes I would have NOT passed on the pom poms no matter what color they are.
ReplyDeleteSo many goodies that I can't even pick a favorite. Great finds and lots of neat things you pulled out of your stash.
ReplyDeleteSome really interesting finds. Anxious to see how you use the plant stands to cover up the black hole in your fireplace. Also love the splatter ware crock and the red/white tin pedestal bowl. You did good, even if you had to take some stuff from the Horror Monster.

Love the birdcages and the tool boxes. I'd love to play in Horror Monster's Outdoor Living Section. That would be my kind of fun!.
ReplyDeleteI love visiting to find what incredible goodies you have found since your last post with great finds. You are the most amazing shopper. My booth would LOVE to have your collected pieces. You give me great ideas too.

You did it again! Love the ribbons you tied around those rusty saw blades, they look like wreaths now.
ReplyDeleteI'll take one of each, please :) Especially love those chunky wrought iron candlesticks--they have presence. And that rose bowl is wonderful--I don't even know what it is, but I love it!
ReplyDeleteSo many things! I'm always surprised at how good you are at seeing treasures where most people would only see garbage. The shutters can be really great with a little paint!
ReplyDeleteWillie knows a good time when he sees it!
ReplyDeleteGOOD stuff!
ReplyDeleteA lot of great finds Donna. I like the tool boxes and the blades with the ribbons !
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for your visit and kind comment !
Blessings to you.

I love the round bird-cage. And the pom-poms. And the tool boxes. OK, everything.

Lots of great finds -- but my favorites are the bird cages and the tool boxes. Years ago I had my mom's big old bird cage and stand and even had birds in it for awhile. Sadly -- I think I tossed it to the curb on one of our many moves -- a huge regret!
ReplyDeleteLove your metal flower piece, can't wait to see what you do with it!
ReplyDeleteThanks so much for sharing at AMAZE ME MONDAY!
Blessings,
Cindy
You are the queen of junk Donna! Good junk that is. Love the metal frog and the shutters. I have been wanting a large pair. I have found them twice, but both times I was not able to get them home. Thanks for sharing with SYC.
ReplyDeletehugs,
Jann
What beautiful treasures Donna. We all appreciate the beauty of imperfection. Thank you for linking up at Shabbilicious Friday.
