Bagged!

vintage work pouches
Vintage work bags fascinate me.

The typography of this nail pouch says it is from Homeworth.

When I first saw it on Susan's Etsy shop, I knew it was destined for my front door.

My front door is distressed (OF COURSE!) in red and white with a brown glaze.

A small folk art angel works as a door knocker.

I filled the pouch with red roses (fake), and for the Fourth added a small flag.

I swapped with Ann at Tarnished Royalty for the seed sower bag.

It hangs on the cabinet where I hide the TV.

Since it says "Horn" - I was looking for a horn for it.

But until I find what fits best, Mr. Kitty lives in there with a porch paling and a calico ribbon.

Remember, shop owners, Wednesday is the grand opening of Swap & Tell.

At a link party recently I found Flora Doora.

Jane creates bags lined with vinyl for cut flowers.

Lovely fabric with vintage touches.

Each bag has a name.

Mine is "Thankful for the flowers".

Since I was propping the bag up against my blue washboard and I have rambunctious animals loose in the house, I used fake daisies and a vintage chiffon scarf.

See y'all!

  6. What fun! I do like those bags and when I see a beautiful wooden front door...it makes me a little bit sad that mine is metal. * sigh*

  8. Interesting display of bags Donna. I too, think the old nail pouch bags are interesting, but never knew what to do with them. Flora Doora really makes some beautiful bags. Great inspiration here.
