Friday Finds

vintage finds, easel, books, globe, suitcase, bottles
Time for Friday Finds.

An easel.

Tan suitcase with the original collapsible hangers and keys inside.

A globe in great shape including the how-to booklet - 1974.

Who knew you had to how-to a globe?

A group of bottles.

Measurements down the sides.

Metal seals once on the tops.

I think I love them.

Old children stuff.

Shoes.

Chairs.

I love old children, don't you?

Rusty angel.

Rusty stars.

A fancy leg off something.

A worn New Testament for my collection.

Four by two and a half inches - tiny.

American Bible Society

National War Work Council of Young Men's Christian Association

New York 1918

Stamped inside the cover.

Two owners - one from Alabama and one from Indiana.

The names no longer legible.

So sweet.

A pile of rackets - all but one with the presses.

Small bookcase with atomic legs.

Birdcage.

Children's books.

Round vanity tray.

Two small oil cans.

Hawaiian cookbook.

Two old atlases.

A worn silver tray.

A flip top green bench/trunk.

Dolch word list flash cards.

Most important for elementary students to know the basic words of the English language.

And finally a red cash drawer.

Yes, the bell rings when it is opened!

Beautiful wood patina inside the drawer.

I really appreciated all of your comments last week.  I am trying to catch up.  We had a death in the family.

I promise I read every one.

See y'all!

  6. Great stuff Donna ... I love the old bottles ... old children's chairs ... and that old cash drawer. Does that make me old too? Too bad your shop is not in traveling distance to me.
Sorry about the death in your family.

  9. My sympathies, Donna, to you and the family.

I was going to say how much I love vanity trays, but oh, my gosh, how I love that cash drawer! I wanted to make a comment about old children, but you beat me to that one! All wonderful goodies this week !

  10. Oh my! Where do I start wishing? The globe- I need to know how to globe also! (Noun vs. verb...It happens all the time, like Roller Blading, which should really be in-line skating!). Could those bottles be old bottles that held saline or blood for intravenous drips? I LOVE old children! Especially when they wear red leather high tops! What do people do with the old tennis rackets? I "need" the white bookshelf. Love the legs, too! And, the green trunk, especially because of the green, and it's a box, even though I can't see all of it, and did I mention it's green? I really do need a round vanity tray (because the oval ones can be found anywhere!) and the oil cans, although I don't know why. They're just neat! I could also use more old atlases. Maybe we can talk about those old language cards when you get your Etsy shop set up again. Love 'em! And the red cash register!!! Sweet! You've outdone yourself once again!

We send our condolences to you and your family. Take care. Fonda (& Katie)
