Friday Finds

Thrift shopping, vintage finds
Another Friday, another tiny Friday Finds post.

I promise, folks, I am really only buying a few small things.

I am concentrating on filling a single box instead of my truck.

A vintage glass Mixmaster batter bowl.

Cream and sugar once silverplated.

Triangular brass cricket box.

The tiny red book behind the box is a Book Of Mormon.

I did not have a small one in my collection so it is a keeper.

Two sconces that complement each other, but are not identical.

They look like Italian tole, but are not marked.

A utensil basket.

Two divided Buffalo china plates.

Maybe cafeteria.

Maybe diner.

Definitely heavyweights.

The clerk sold this "picture frame" to me for half price.

Yes, it is a primitive cabinet door frame instead.

Beautiful patina.

With all the original hardware.

Plus someone had cleaned and waxed it.

Chicken wire, chalkboard, tin - all would look great on this.

I am selling it like it is for someone to buy herself a project piece.

I am continuing to add to my ephemera collection to sell.

I had gotten woefully low on photos, postcards, and letters.

This is a great group of 100 vintage snap shots from about 1920 to 1950.

I will scan these to make merchandise tags, then sell.

Other items I am buying are large lots of cabinet photographs.

I found these on eBay.

It seems in January ephemera dealers offer large lots at fantastic prices.

I did find a couple of pieces of furniture, but you will see them when I get a chance to sand and paint.

This weekend is loaded with estate sales and auctions.

I am trying to decide which way to go.

East or West?

North or South?

See y'all!
