Exhaustion from the kitchen renovation - yes, we are suffering.
Is it over?
No, not yet.
So on to the pleasant things I did manage to enjoy in the last two months.
Like the Magnolia Ridge Antiques & Art Gathering.
Because of the kitchen, I was not able to set up and sell, but there was time to shop.
No room to buy much.
The orange mail box is an iconic piece in Ridge Spring, SC.
It welcomes you onto the grounds of Magnolia Ridge which is a working farm and horse training site.
All kinds of vintage items.
Yes, even the kitchen sink!
They were mine!
(I was to first to spy them or they would not have been mine!)
Looks like ice.
Beautiful green patina.
Unfortunately they are too long for over the counter in the new kitchen.
I am hanging on to them in case I find another place to use them.
Found the old bench.
I posted it on Instagram as the perfect piece for the new laundry room.
Alas, after the washer and dryer were delivered, it was in the way of the dryer door by two inches.
C'est la vie!
Not sure if I am keeping it.
It may be headed to the booth.
I will admit to some laziness - I have gotten quite addicted to posting on Instagram.
However, every time I think about leaving the blogging world, something draws me back in.
Like friends.

Fun to see all your finds there. I took two panels of glass like that and built them high up into a wall of an office that backed up to the hall. It lets a lot of natural light into the hall that would otherwise be completely dark. Hang onto them. You will find a place for them. xo Diana

Well, I knew that you hadn't passed. But I have been wondering. Surely the reno isn't still going on? Then I think back to my own renos of the past, and I say, "yes, it could be that things are still going on. One day, this shall pass & they will all be gone. Hope you're liking your new kitchen so far.

ReplyDeleteOooohhh, wonderful find with those side light panels. Would so love to have access to old wood windows. Seems like I saw at least couple things would love to have.
Keep those sidelight panels,just know if you sold them you'd be sorry down the road soon. Just how things like that work.

Welcome back to blogland! Instagram is addictive. It's like lots of mini blog posts. Trust me, I know the feeling of wanting to quit blogging (and even Facebook!) to just do Instagram. But, I keep coming back.

DeleteWelcome back to the land of the living! We've missed you! Katie just found you on Instagram, so we'll sit together soon and look at the photos. Riding the Ridge and Stuff and Things bring back some good memories. Katie is scheduled to go to Columbia for a conference in October. Hopefully, we can meet up then. I'll keep you posted. The two side windows are nice. Have fun deciding where to put them.
