Four Doors Down

Repurposing cabinet doors
Architectural salvage has been at the top of my thrifting list recently.

I scored these six doors on half-price day.

Solid oak hinged together.

Folding cabinet doors maybe?

Two of them were split down the sides.

More about them tomorrow.

Removed all the hardware.

Sanded each down and cleaned well.

Sprayed one side Ivory Silk followed by a light sanding for distressing.

This is the front side with a fancy panel detail.

I have been using up those annoying leftover spray paint cans which roll out the pantry at the slightest provocation.

So there is Strawflower, Lilac, Ivory Silk, and Sage all in a row.

They would make great headboards, signs, chalkboards, message centers, or tables.

So four doors down and two damaged ones to go.

See y'all!

  5. Those doors are fantastic. Great headboards for sure, or shutters, or a room divider or tables... probably a million things that they'd be great for. Fabulous finds!!

  6. I love the idea of using those as a headboard. As a matter of fact, my headboard is an old farmhouse door with tons of natural distressing and aging!

  11. OMGosh!! Love those four colors, and they look fantastic together. I'd love to hang one horizontally over a couch and then hang art on it, or wreaths, or something like that--

  12. Great doors! Yes, I love them all! I have been busy painting this week and getting my booth ready. I had a busy weekend in the booth. Just a little sprucing up with new junk boosts the sells.
