A Black Schwinn For Fall

vintage Schwinn Breeze bicycle
A black Schwinn Breeze bicycle from around the late fifties or early sixties.

In good condition.

Needs a little work to remove the rust.

Tighten the brake.

Inflate the tires.

Remember riding your friends on the luggage rack?

If you were barefooted, you had to mind that your toes did not slip into the spokes.

The reason why I needed a pumpkin, a basket, and some fake flowers.

A fall arrangement for the black Schwinn.

Fits right on the luggage rack.

To my dis- appointment, Miss Peepers disagreed and lowered her head in disapproval.

What could I do to please her?

Why, move that basket to the handlebars of course!

You are so right, Miss Peepers.

Available now at Riverfront Antique Mall.

See y'all!

  1. What a great bike. I remember how much I loved to ride mine as a girl. Miss Peepers was right about the fall basket. It looks perfect on the handlebars.

  2. Oh that is perfect for fall! I can't believe you took that to the mall! I'd have kept it...and put a witch on it!

  3. What a great bike! Having a bike was our ticket to freedom back in the 60's. We'd hop on our bikes and explore miles of trails thru the woods of Chicago. I still love to bike ride.

  4. Great idea with the bike and basket! I would love a bike that to ride! But since I probably couldn't manage that, I'd put it in my yard for decoration!

  16. Love that bike and the basket! Would look really great in someone's front yard to welcome the fall, then could be changed for the new seasons.

  18. I think Miss Peepers wanted to be in the basket for your photo shoot! I remember my friend riding on back of my bike when we were kids and her toes DID get caught in the spokes...not fun. Thanks for sharing at VIP.
