Sitting in my driveway garden was this lovely rusty planter.
I am thinking she needs an inside job.
She was one of the few things to survive my neighbor's ice storm damage.
Four of her mighty oaks fell into her backyard which was a magical place of plants and antiques.
Distressed Donna was rather pleased with the galvanized cream can with the lid.
I am thinking just clean and wax it and put it inside for storage.
Thank you, Bobbie!
Most of you know Calvin, my all-around helper.
He found this table in a huge brush pile on the side of the road.
He rescued it and carried it four blocks to our house.
Our city does not allow free items on the curb and would have sprayed it day-glo orange and fined the residents.
Ever wonder what happens to a mahogany table exposed to Southern sun and humidity?
Wonder no more!
It is not a pretty picture.
Calvin almost left it because of the veneer damage.
Luckily he knew better than to leave a poor table sitting in a brush pile.
I have plans for her.
I hope some more fairies come to visit me.
This is the easiest picking I've done lately.
See y'all!

Love that planter, and that table is a great find. It needed someone to love it back into being a beauty, and I know it'll be fabulous when you're done with it.
ReplyDeleteYou are so lucky to have others helping you shop. They seem to know just what you like. Well, I know ... you like everything that is a little rusty and crusty that you can preform your magic on, just like I do. Anxious to see what you do with that table.
