Right when I was taking my money out to pay, the manager came by and told me it was 50% off for next thirty minutes.
The label is still inside along with shipping labels outside.
The shipping labels were for daily trips from Boston.
I wonder what was shipped daily in such a small trunk?
Well, I can only guess old L.M.P. carried the secret to his grave.
I love the trunk so much it is a keeper for sure.
Even Chucks said it was a keeper not to be sold.
Now I wish I had thought to buy the three other full-sized trunks while the sale was going on.
I could have had a trunk stack!
I know I have not been joining all the reindeer games in Bloglandia in the last week.
I am still learning this Windows 7.
It does such a great job storing all my pictures, I can never find them to resize and post.
Tonight I was successful after only four #^&*^#@ hours!
I hope I will ...
See y'all!

Very cool find, Donna, worth doing some research to find its original purpose. I had a small trunk that I sold a year ago - it was a child's, just a little bigger than yours.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great find - and 50% off - I'm impressed they actually came by to tell you that ( knowing you were buying it anyway )
ReplyDeleteI'm still having problems with Windows 7 too lmho - a month later -
My kids say I'll love it when I get used to it - I'll have to trust them on this one I guess because I hate it with a passion !
XOXO
That is a great trunk, I wonder where it went! So glad it found its way to you. Di@Cottage-wishes
ReplyDeleteLOve the trunk..Hint on finding photos....If you click on the windows circle on the lower left hand side of your screen in your tool bar...choose search type in *.*jpg you are asking it to find every file with the jpg extension..Ie photos..I have to use this a lot! I miss place photos on a regular basis....Hope this helps how frustrated you must be. Have a good day....
ReplyDeleteShe is a cute trunk. All manner of items could be kept in her.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great find, and half price!! How awesome! I love imagining the history of things. I have windows 7 and use picasa for all my photos. Not even sure where I'd find them without that.
ReplyDeleteLove the title, Donna! I know you've been waiting a long time to use that phase. But I think it was meant for one of the Kardashians! Anyway, you scored big time with this purchase . . . praise Chucks! Good luck with your computer. I just got a new one last week that features Windows 8.1. My hubby moved everything over and I'm having a grand old time getting use to it. That's why I've been late in doing everything.
ReplyDeleteI wonder what would have been shipped in that, too...especially on a daily basis. It's a wonderful find!
ReplyDeleteWell this lovely trunk is definitely a keeper Donna! It has a bit of "medieval" aura about it!
ReplyDeleteYou are the luckiest junker around! Who hits a 30 minute sale at just the right time? Great find~
ReplyDeleteDefinitely a keeper! It is in really good condition as well. Love it! What are you going to store in it? Any ideas? It does make you wonder what was shipped in it. Hope you are having a lovely Memorial Day!
ReplyDeleteBlessings, Vicky
A trunk at Goodwill??? Where is your Goodwill? Can't imagine someone getting of that! It would fit perfectly in the new room that I am redecorating.
ReplyDeleteGreat trunk Donna ... just perfect with so much charm and character. It would be a keeper for me too. Love it.

Oh my goodness!! Just think of the history behind that old trunk! I wouldn't let it go either!!!!
ReplyDeleteSome things you just know you're gonna keep! Recently got a red metal 1950's child's garden rocking chair....matches my adult one.....so I know how you feel about your trunk! Oh my! you should have bought all the others to sell!!
ReplyDeleteLove the trunk!! I wouldn't have been able to pass it up either. Definitely a keeper!
ReplyDeleteMusic to my ears..."50% off for the next 30 minutes! Fabulous...
ReplyDeletethat's a great find! i'd love to come across a trunk like that some day
ReplyDeleteI love that little trunk. It definitely would be a keeper at my house. Have a great weekend!
ReplyDeleteThis trunk is AMAZING! I would love one just like it... I know exactly where to put it in my tiny little home too. You def should've bought more! You'll get Windows 7 before too long. I think you'll end up liking it more too (I know I have). Whatever you do - just don't let them switch you to Windows 8 - it is TRULY terrible. Thanks for linking up to TTF!!
ReplyDeleteOh my, I have never seen such a wonderful little petite trunk like this. Yes, indeed a keeper! Love, love it! thanks for sharing with SYC.
ReplyDeletehugs,
Jann
Such a neat trunk!! I was at Goodwill not to long ago and was really looking at some furniture pieces that I could redo, and they got on the loud speaker and said 25% off furniture today....I almost wonder if they did that on purpose!? haha Wishing you a beautiful weekend!! Enjoy your new treasure! xo Holly
ReplyDeleteLOVE that trunk. I don't think our Goodwill ever has sales - maybe once in a while on leftover Christmas decor...but not always. I asked, and it was even full price after Christmas this year. I'd keep that adorable trunk, too...Thanks for sharing at Revisionary Life Thrifty Life Thursday!
ReplyDeleteI'm going to have to feature this little trunk in your junk. :) Funny girl...
ReplyDeleteI wanty, I wanty, I wanty. Gosh what a great find at a great price. I would not get rid of that trunk, but if you do send it my way!
