There's a new racy dame in town.
Her name is Hammered Rosemary.
I am not cheating on Sweet Pea.
Hammered Rosemary is the opposite of pink.
A metallic green.
With a hammered look.
After using her for a few projects, I might just forgive Rust-Oleum for throwing Sweet Pea to the curb.
Read about Sweet Pea here and here.
I always buy wooden boxes - no matter the size.
Usually distress them.
Usually stamp them or stencil them or decoupage them.
But this time I spray painted them.
With Hammered Rosemary.
I love her name.
It sort of makes me thirsty for a cold cocktail of lemon vodka with crushed rosemary.
Except it has been years since I drank anything.
The drink would probably hammer me.
One box hammered by Rosemary.
Next up - a divided box.
Two boxes hammered by rosemary.
This went on for awhile.
I'll just show you three boxes.
For now.
A closer look.
I am loving Rosemary.
Such a beautiful finish.
No distressing required.
I have chosen something besides the boxes to hammer with Rosemary.
I hope to finish this week.
Go get hammered with Rosemary.
She can be addicting.
See y'all!

Love that color Donna. Makes a really good background color for your displays. Must get some to try.
ReplyDeleteI really like how it turned out! xoxo
ReplyDeleteWhen I saw the title of this post I thought you were going to share a recipe with us. I am a huge fan of this new color.
ReplyDeleteI haven't seen that color! I will have to be on the lookout for it though! I NEED it for my spray paint stash...:) Hope you have a lovely Sunday!
ReplyDeleteBlessings, Vicky
What a great colour and finish! And I love the name.
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful color and I love all of the texture! The box is fantastic!
ReplyDeleteGigi @ Old World Patina
Well, that is quite a name for such a lovely color! Love your boxes! Looking forward to seeing what else you have chosen to 'hammer' :)
ReplyDeleteOh how pretty! I like that color very much. Can you believe there is no green in my new house??
ReplyDeleteOOO -- she IS pretty!! :)
ReplyDeleteMaybe you could petition Rust-o-leum on their Facebook page to bring Sweet Pea back. Sorry I didn't find any for you - I asked. The paint folks said they could try matching it.
Gorgeous color and finish! it looks wonderful.
ReplyDeleteSensational color and love the piece. Thanks tons for linking to Inspire Me.
ReplyDeleteI know it's not a replacement for your Sweet Pea....but it really is a yummy color. Love the texture it brings to a piece. Guess I will be on the lookout for some Hammered Rosemary myself. Might need to buy stock in the paint, cause all us girls are going to be buying it. :)
ReplyDeleteI like that color. Even I can spray paint. Wink.
ReplyDeleteI can't pass wood boxes up either, especially divided ones like these. I haven't used a hammered metal paint in a while. You got great results with it! Thank you for sharing this and your pretty tray and bookstore trip at What We Accomplished Wednesdays. Have a great week!
ReplyDeleteBlessings,
Deborah
Now, must admit that even though I don't drink I'd love to get hammered with Rosemary! lol! Love the results! Thanks for sharing with SYC.
ReplyDeletehugs,
