Prairie Pink Shelf

Just a tiny piece of prairie pink this morning.

One of the projects I did manage to complete despite the near 100 degree heat wave we are having.





This shelf has been sitting around waiting for me to paint it.

I thought at first - multi-colored pastels.

Then it seemed to be prairie style.






So I mixed some homemade paint in what I like to call prairie pink.

 (Wouldn't you love to be the person who names the paint colors?)




Of course I had to sand it down for distressing.

 Notice I refrained from torn calico or tags.

 It is not often I practice restraint.






A couple of coats of MinWax and she is ready to go.

 More pink coming up on Monday when I will be guest posting at Tuula's (The Thrifty Rebel) for Think Pink Monday.

 And even more pink coming up on Tuesday when I reveal my Tin Man impression.

 Then we will be going green!

    Adorable vignette displaying your pretty pink shelf. I think it could pass for something French instead of prairie since you added merci to the mix. Well done!

    Verry pretty in pink! Looking forward to the pink post at Tuula's Monday and I'm curious about the green...:) We are having miserable heat here too....the other day it was near 110 with the heat index. My poor hubby has to work outside...I don't see how he stands it! Have a wonderful weekend...Vicky
