I am gradually destashing Horror Monster of his supplies such as laces, buttons, and baskets.
Here are some new finds and some old finds and a couple of the collections I am putting together.
Make sure to use the discount code below if you decide to purchase something.
Industrial Chic - Red and yellow metal spool of green cable. I see it as a towel rack.
After enjoying the silhouette for a couple of weeks, I have decided another collection is not needed.
This one is adorably distressed in all the right places.
Now for the Prairie - Plain and Primitive items I have been gathering and distressing and filling with goodies.
This small lidded basket painted white with three crochet pieces.
I made a distressed calico rosette with a silver button for the top.
Remember over a year ago I bought all those feather pillows from an old (1960's) summer camp?
I am listing the last of them.
I emptied the feathers, soaked the pillow ticks very well and washed them.
I am selling them one at a time.
I only have nine left.
Tied with a stained torn pink ribbon.
A small basket painted with Sweet Pea Pink decorated with a pink ribbon and two crochet pieces.
Those of you who have emailed me about the jars of lace, buttons, and Frozen Charlottes will need to wait another week.
I am sorry but I am having trouble with deciding which Charlottes and lace and buttons to keep.
Sometimes it is hard to downsize, but be prepared because I am selling off several collections.
Because this morning I started a whole new obsession - I took a beginning knitting class.
I have proudly knitted seven rows of a washcloth.
I failed casting on - the instructor had to do it.
So Horror Monster has to shift his load as yet another craft project enters this house.
Chucks is shaking in his boots.
See y'all!

Oh my, good for you! My mil tried to teach me knitting . . . what a fail! I'm all for learning a new obsession!
ReplyDeleteMy son says I go from one "hobby" to the next. Isn't that what being retired is all about? Success with the knitting. I taught myself last year. There are excellent YouTube tutes! Linda@Wetcreek Blog
ReplyDeleteI love to knit, it is very calming (once you get it) and so many great projects to do! I want the jar of buttons too, how did I miss that? I can understand I have the hardest time making choices....seems to come, at least for me, with aging. You can't have too many hobbbies! I'm going to check out you etsy chop. Can I ask you, are you happy with etsy? I am thinking about opening up one, hubs says there's not more room for any more dishes. Say's who!
ReplyDeleteI know of at least 3 ways to cast on...maybe you can try another way next time. It's fun to learn new things. Enjoy!
ReplyDeleteLike all your Etsy goodies. The silhouette and the ticking are my favorites. I have a few feather pillows and want to save the ticking, but afraid I will have feathers all over the place if I try to empty them. Love knitted dish rags, but would never attempt to make one. Good luck and have fun.

Destashing is laborious process to be sure. I'm deep in the midst of it myself... in fact, I should be doing that instead of this! *winks*

Oh my....you must be serious if you're selling off entire collections! I can't wait to see what you knit. Chucks and all the critters will be sporting your creations before long I'm sure...:) I can just see them now...all in matching scarves or vests! LOL...:) Seriously though, I have always though it would be nice to know how to knit or even crochet. The chain stitch was all I was coordinated enough to do though...lol! Have a restful Sunday afternoon!

Good luck with your new adventure of knitting! I crochet some times and can't seem to pick up on the knitting. Love your baskets and the ticking.
ReplyDeleteHave fun!
I look forward to your finds. Will have to look at those pillow covers.
ReplyDeleteI am an infrequent knitter and so I always need to hit the internet when it comes time to cast on! It's a fun hobby, I just need to find the time!
ReplyDeleteKnitting is wonderful! And it is addicting :) Have fun!
ReplyDeleteOh dear, hubby better look out! lol! Love the ticking. Are they cases, or just fabric? I picked up a few items that I need to list. Down to one item on my site. That's pitiful! Thanks for sharing with SYC.
