Red And Distressed - A Lot!

table makeover
It needed distressing.

It was just too, too vanilla for me.

A sneak peek of how it turned out.

Red and Distressed!

I found the end table already chalk-painted white.

The red leather top in good condition.

However the paint job was just so-so.

Heavier in some areas and barely there in others.

Powered up the sander with a heavy grit paper.

Kept sanding until every surface was level.

Loved the whorls of wood showing through.

Used Howard's dark wax for both the painted surface and the red leather.

Look at that gleam.

Red and distressed and ready for the booth.

Picture cobalt blue with it.

Yummy!

See y'all!

  6. Nice job Donna ... good idea to stain the leather. I don't think I would have thought of that. The table should sell fast.
