Around & About With Olive Out

Azalee is giving me a bunch of gold stars. I was able to meet a fellow blogger in person for the first time this week.

I became interested in Olive at Olive Out when I realized she had to live near me because we frequented the same thrift shops.

We met for lunch at a local cafe and shared experiences and thrifting adventures.

I found Olive to be proud of her family and her faith with many interesting stories to tell.

Of course, we piled into her car after a delicious lunch for a quick trip to a favorite thrift shop to find some treasures.

Olive collects and sells vintage linens.

This shop has an great assortment of them.

I found a set of twelve multicolored napkins which probably will not remain napkins and a black toile tote which probably will not remain a tote.

Another burgundy train case which matches one I bought earlier this month.  This one came with two sets of keys.  I am hoping the keys will fit the other case, too.

A concrete angel with a chipped wing.  This makes the third angel with a chipped wing I have bought the last few months.

There might be an unexpected collection brewing here.

Olive and I share a love of vintage hankies and scarves.

I found this green checked homespun one and the coral embroidered "L" handkerchief.

I needed some small dresses in greens, whites, and blues to go with the Charlotte and Her Dresses shelf to display in the booth.  READ HERE.

Olive helped pick out some vintage Bonwit Teller dresses in soft batiste with smocking and lace.

There were these two green and yellow baby wraps and a small mannequin perfect for the dresses.

How lucky was that?

We were able to find four dresses and one blue romper to fit my color story.  Now I need to make some cute hangers to display them.

What did I learn from this experience?  First, bloggers are just as nice in person as they are in  Blogland.  Second, bloggers are always ready to give helpful information.  Olive gave me several pointers she has used in her blog.  Third, always check Aldi's for your fruit.  Olive took a bunch of lemons purchased inexpensively and did not make lemonade, but a beautiful centerpiece.  Read about Olive's lemons and keep reading her other interesting posts.

I am looking forward to another around-about with Olive Out.

See y'all!
