Remember my miniature mannequin collection I was downsizing?
Well, I decided a few of them needed transforming before selling.
The tall ones were actually pin cushions though I never had the heart to stick pins in them.
Like shabby chic voodoo.
Watch out, Rachel!
The small ones with sea grass twine had served their purpose of holding bracelets.
Used leftover Vintage (Americana Decor Chalky Finish Paint).
The small ones had plenty of texture.
But after coating all with satin varnish, the tall ones were nondescript.
Added multiple stamps in black - both front and back.
Added Distress Ink in Pewter for a silver patina.
Slightly French.
Slightly glamorous.
All available in Booth C-23, Riverfront Antique Mall, North Augusta, South Carolina.
See y'all!

Very sweet makeovers! My favorites are the ones you did the stamping on.

Great updates! I'll stick a pin in anything. ;)
ReplyDeleteAlso slightly robotic! I love the retro sci-fi vibe the taller ones are giving off.
ReplyDeleteVery nice makeovers!
