On this bright, beautiful Sunday morning, I have two truly fast-as-the-speed-of-light quickies.
A divided box - once part of a desk.
Spray painted in Krylon Burgundy.
Waxed with Howard's Citrus Shield in Dark Oak.
Buffed.
Buffed.
Buffed.
Great for a creamy white collection.
Or bottle brush trees <shhhhh!>
Drive to Columbia.
See dresser at thrift store.
Pay for dresser.
Load into truck.
Drive back home.
Wash off dresser.
Admire the beautiful gray paint with a glaze of antique gold.
Drive dresser to Riverfront Antique Mall.
Load her into Booth C-23.
Admire her beauty and take photos.
Bagged and tagged in less than 12 hours.
Did not have to lift a paint brush.
See y'all!

Your dresser has nice legs. Very pretty overall. Glad you left her that color. It's striking.
ReplyDeleteLove your finished burgundy with white, and that gray dresser - BAM!
ReplyDeleteSuper quick Quickies! Love it!
ReplyDeleteWow... that is fast as the speed of light!! Love the dresser and isn't it awesome when you don't have to do anything?!

Very pretty dresser and I'm not surprised that it wasn't around for long. That burgundy box looks great with all the white....I can think of a million ways to use that for the holidays. Someone will appreciate your buff and buff and buff.😉
ReplyDeleteBeautiful dresser Donna ... and I waiting see you say you had tagged and sold it almost before you got it in your space. Love the burgundy color and have to look for that Howard's Citrus Shield. I love their products.
ReplyDeleteHave a great Sunday.

ReplyDeleteThat dresser is lovely!!
ReplyDeleteThe dresser is fabulous! When I was in the biz, I loved those pieces that I didn't have to touch... went straight from the Suburban to my booths! Rarely happened though, lol! ~Rhonda
ReplyDeleteLove that dresser! And how great was that no paint had to be used...just moving it from one location to another for a quick sale! Love the transformation on the divider box!!
ReplyDeleteOne word.......Awesome!!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful work! love the box, it looks so good with the white collection. I'm not surprised that dresser didn't last long. Its perfect. Thanks so much for stopping by, I appreciate your visit.

ReplyDeleteLove both of those quickies! :) You should sell those very quick, too! Thanks so much for linking up with Let's Talk Vintage!
ReplyDeleteLoved your quickies this week! Hope your week is going great!

Love both quickies but that dresser is fabulous! Love the colors you chose!
ReplyDeleteWhat a nice break for you, instead of "transform" you only had to "transport." :)
ReplyDeleteI love your dresser. We bought a couple of older ones and I'm still debating on how to paint them. Neither match in style, but the one with the legs has so much option and I love the gray and brass on your dresser. Very pretty.
ReplyDeleteTwo great pieces!
ReplyDeleteThanks so much for sharing at AMAZE ME MONDAY!
Blessings,
Cindy
Okay, never heard of Howard's Citrus Shield--it works like a wax? Sounds interesting. Nice makeover on the divided crate and quickie #2 is my kinda project :) Thanks for joining the party at Vintage Charm.
