Gesso the heck out of it.
Add some umber.
Add a little gel medium.
Add a photo.
Add apple pie spice powder to the paint. (For a rusty effect!)
Add old dictionary pages.
Add torn and worn lace.
Add a shutter slat star.
Add a shutter slat sign with my name.
Add a shutter slat sign with the phrase "Trust in the rusty and crusty stuff!".
Voila!
It adds up to my new sign for my new booth.
Booth W-10 at Riverfront Antique Mall in North Augusta, SC.
I am waiting to shop with you.
I know I have been missing after promising you I would return, but I had dental surgery which knocked me out for a few days. Also my Etsy shop was in worse shape than I first thought. I have a boxload of items to clean, research, and write listings. Keeping up with the larger booth is more work as I am getting slower and slower to complete tasks. I am sure it is the cold weather and not my age!
No smart comments, please!
See y'all!
NOTE: I updated my coupon code for my Etsy shop. I was embarrassed to find out my coupons had expired. There are new listings for you to browse. Enjoy!

ReplyDeleteBeautiful sign, Donna--LOVE the tag line. Apple pie spice?! Who knew? Glad you're back :)
ReplyDeleteGreat project. Thanks for sharing. Hope your doing better. I had oral surgery in the past and I know it is no fun.

Very cute sign, Donna, and it has to smell good too! You'll soon be back into your usual groove. Sometimes we just have to slow down for a moment!
ReplyDeleteSign looks great, Donna. Here's hoping the dental issues are behind you. Something hit me like a Mack truck yesterday, and I'm still feeling punk after being in bed over 12 hrs.Ugh, can't tell if it's flu or what, but it's definitely uninvited.
ReplyDeleteI love the sign Donna!
ReplyDeleteLove your sign Donna, and I hope you feel better soon. January always makes me feel a little lazy. It's just too darn cold, and I spend most of my time sitting by the wood stoves. So many in blogland seem to be cleaning and organizing, but not me... I've grown to like this January slow down..You'll get back to it soon I'm sure.
ReplyDeleteHa! I love that! Oh and I figured out that when the comment box shows all of the comments then I too can comment but if I have to click on comments it doesn't work. Love the sign! Maybe I should do an old world patina sign...cool!
ReplyDeleteOf course, I also blame the cold for everything I'm late for these days ;)
ReplyDeleteThe sign looks great!
Loving your sign! I'm looking into designing my own tags on vistaprint.com!
