Still waiting to be finished.
I like the blue and hate to cover it up, but I need to slather on more layers to get patina perfection.
Once they were cabinet doors.
I glued on some fancy plastic frames.
There are four layers of the paint I learned to mix in the Farragoz course.
Which I have not yet finished.
The first layer of this project completed and then discarded for another time.
A paper napkin Mod Podged onto the back of a canvas.
I may be creative and use the front instead.
Or maybe both sides so there will be a secret piece of art.
These are usually stacked but now residing in the guest room waiting to be painted.
I tell myself I wanted five of them.
But really I am just procrastinating.
Stacks of shutter slats waiting to become Christmas stars.
And yes, I do realize that holiday is less than 100 days away.
I am trying not to wish my life away.
I am taking my unfinished projects over to Gigi at Saturday's Studio Glimpse (Old World Patina).
See y'all!

I thought I was the only one that had stacks of unfinished projects.
ReplyDeleteHave a great weekend.

I have a list of projects I need to get to also. So much to do, so little time!
ReplyDeleteBeing creative is all about having tons of stuff "in process". I am so far away from this right now, and really miss it. I love that paper mod podge look! You've got some lovely stuff going. So nice to have a visit from you!
ReplyDeleteI love the patina you have going on your frames and I love that you put them in a shadow box, so pretty!
ReplyDeletecan't wait to see some more, by the way there are many projects I am working on..a crafter can not stop making things! haha
ReplyDeleteLots of unfinished projects here too.. Okay, shutter slats as Christmas stars...tell me more..... by the way, love the old cabinet doors and frames.. I think the patina looks great but I understand about it having to be just right.. I am one of those perfectionists too.. have fun creating.. Blessings!
ReplyDeleteI must confess I feel a little better after reading your post: I have tons of unfinished projects as well.
ReplyDeleteI thought I was tired until I read this post-all your boundless energy makes me tired my dear friend. You can easily tell I am not a crafter. And yet I have been making jewelry. So maybe there is a glimmer of hope for me. Hope you day went well. Olive
ReplyDeleteThanks, we can all form a support group! I have a million unfinished projects and a million more in my head!!! You are way ahead of the game my dear!
ReplyDeleteHugs,
Patti
I have been wanting to take that course for a long time. Just haven't found the time yet. You should see my "stacked up" projects ...... oh my....will keep me busy all winter.
ReplyDeleteI LOVE the fancy frames.
ReplyDeleteLove that you also "take breaks" when doing projects. Makes me feel less unproductive when others confess a lack of progress too.
ReplyDeleteI have a lot of unfinished projects, too, and a show to do next weekend!
ReplyDeleteBetter get busy. Love what you are doing to the frames!
I love it all and I can see myself in your post. I've a few things started and not finished that are calling my name and I don't seem to be answering them. Well today's another day and hopefully I'll get done something. Great post!
ReplyDeleteYou always have so many fun things going on Donna. Can't wait to see them all completed! Thanks for sharing with SYC.
ReplyDeletehugs,
Jann
