Quickie Chandy Transformation


Chandelier transformation, makeover, quickieJust one quickie for this morning.

 Transforming a dated chandelier into a table centerpiece.

 Time spent:  forty minutes waiting for paint to dry and ten minutes to assemble.



Started with a dated '70's brown and faux copper chandelier. 

 Stripped out the wiring.

 Well, Chucks actually did that for me.







Two coats of  Rust-Oleum Navajo White.

 (Looks like a carnival ride.)
















I purchased my paint screens at Habitat for a dollar. 



















I did learn not all candles are the same size, and only one size fit the cup.

Dollar General, but not Dollar Tree.

Added some fake greenery.










I like the way it looks here.

Placed in the middle of a table with real greenery.

Light those candles.

(Though I would switch to unscented candles around food.)











Except the guy who sold it to me wrapped each glass shade carefully in a zillion sheets of paper.

 So I felt I should use them.

Even though he would never know.

    That is just gorgeous! I like it both ways but more without the shades. I would sell them with it and the customer can decide. :)

    Those old lights are so much fun to repurpose. Love the look for a table top decoration, especially for Christmas. Good job, my friend.

    Altho most of commentors didn't care for shades I actually do, how lucky they all made it home intact. Would keep candle smoke from bothering people at table but could also use without. Think it's great to use on table or hung above. Just depends on person's uses/needs. Great transformation and re-purpose as always. I"m sure have seen that chandy before but hey I"m 75 so most likely huh? lol May whomever buys it enjoy it. Happy week

    Donna, I love this! I like it without the shades.
